...why is there a Dog Days Triathlon?

In our short history, over $1200 have been raised for school playground equipment, and 1999's race netted $700 for new weight machines for the high school. A donation of $900 from the 4th annual race bought new jerseys for the Belmond-Klemme Broncos football team. The 5th Annual DDT donated $1000 to the Belmond-Klemme Athletic Dept. for much need PA equipment and headsets. The 6th Annual DDT donated $900 to the Athletic Dept's wish list,
which included the purchase of a digital timer for track and cross country.$1000 has been commited from the 7th Annual DDT for the purchase of a tent for the girls track team.
We have also donated funds toward the Outdoor Classroom.
Thanks to participants, like yourself, $6000 has been donated to the Belmond-Klemme School.
